Capitalizing on Change: Strategies for Sustained Growth in Private Equity

Despite a solid long-term outlook and record levels of dry powder, the private equity landscape has – over the past few years – shown signs of stagnation with notable declines in dealmaking, exits, and fundraising. Driven by heightened competition and shifting investor needs, fund managers are under increasing pressure to adapt and innovate, balancing long-term value creation with disciplined risk management.

Moderated by Senia Rapisarda (HarbourVest), the keynote panel brings together executives from foremost private equity groups to explore ways for tackling these challenges. The discussion will focus on buyout, growth and other strategies within the broader mid-market space, focusing on long-term value drivers for funds and portfolio companies across sectors and verticals. The panel will address liquidity crunch and its impact on exit backlog, valuations, the need to rethink value creation and to prioritize capital flows back to LPs. The speakers will also reflect on strategic use of leverage, capital markets, secondaries, with some valuable insights in sourcing high-impact deals and boosting fund performance.

Fireside Chat

02:00 PM - 02:30 PM
