In Conversation with John Courtliff, CEO, Partner & Portfolio Manager of ICM Asset Management

John Courtliff, CFA

John joined ICM in 2011 and became CEO in 2022. He also serves as Portfolio Manager of ICM Property Partners Trust.

With more than 15 years of investment industry experience, John began his career in investment banking before transitioning to real estate asset and investment management. His experience includes structuring complex domestic and cross-border transactions and investment vehicles, underwriting and closing investment opportunities in the U.S., Mexico and Canada, and portfolio/fund management.

Mr. Courtliff received a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Calgary as an Academic All-Canadian, including studies at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
